Benjamin Banneker Middle School
(9/08-present)
Teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in LFI program. Create lesson plans that incorporate VSC, FLS curriculum
and student IEP goals, including community-based instruction. Work with parents, teachers, and service specialists (e.g.
Occupational Therapists) to develop and evaluate IEPs.
White Oak Middle School
(09/04-06/08) Taught 7th and 8th grade English to students in the Learning Center, LAD, and LFI programs, co-taught
and self-contained Science to 7th and 8th grade, 6th grade co-taught Math and Corrective Reading. Collaborated
with general ed colleagues to develop effective methods for differentiating instruction to make curriculum more accessible
to all students. Developed FBA/BIPs, including data collection and analysis. Created Lunch Buddies Program and
RIPPLE Program.

(09/03-06/04) As part of my Master's program, I spent the year working as a substitute teacher. I worked at all
levels (elementary, middle, and high school) in a variety of classes, including English, Science, Social Studies, French,
